RAYNE, La. (KLFY)- An 18-year-old Rayne man is facing an attempted murder charge for his alleged connection to a March 14 shooting.
Rayne Chief of Police Carroll J. Stelly said at 6:15 p.m. on March 14, 2019, Rayne officers responded to a call of shots fired on the 600 block of North Chevis Street. Investigators said men were in an argument over money and one of them left to retrieve a weapon and returned and at the victim several times.
No one was injured in the incident, Stelly said.
Detectives charged Tyreese S. Dugas, with attempted second degree murder and bond was set at $150,000.
Dugas was arrested on March 25, 2019, by Rayne Patrol Officers and booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
