EUNICE, La. (KLFY) A 19-year-old man has been arrested in the shooting death of Oshae Doffeny, 23, who was killed early Monday morning. 

Detectives with the Eunice Police Department said they believe Daricko Stevens was talking with the victim when Doffney was shot in the 1600 block of W. Vine Avenue. 

“Investigators believe Stevens’ firearm went off striking Doffney in the chest,” the department said today.

 Doffney died at Mercy Regional Hospital that morning.

Stevens has been charged with manslaughter and obstruction of justice.
