DUSON, La. (KLFY) – Lafayette Parish sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man for stabbing another man to death in Duson early this morning.
Public Information Officer John Mowell said deputies received a call from the victim, 52-year-old Troy Adams, around 12:51 a.m. saying he had been stabbed.
Adams was found dead when responding deputies arrived at 1:01 a.m. The incident happened outside of Duson in Lafayette Parish.
Duson Police arrested a suspect, 36-year-old Derrick Vallien, at a local casino. Vallien was booked into the Acadia Parish jail on the charge of second-degree murder.
It is unclear when Vallien will be transported to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
