NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) – A man wanted in connection with the shooting of a teenager  in New Iberia has been arrested, according to the sheriff’s office.

Captain Wendell Raborn said deputies arrested 20-year-old Courtney Washington, of New Iberia, on a warrant for attempted second-degree murder.

The 17-year-old victim was shot once in the stomach around 9 p.m. on November 13 near the intersection of Dale and Corinne Street.

Washington was booked into the Iberia Parish jail. No bond has been set.
