MARINGOUIN, LA (WAFB) – A 19-year-old male was stabbed in the chest Thursday afternoon in Maringouin.
Officials say a suspect has been arrested.
17 year old Malcolm Jackson, also of Maringouin, is charged with one count of aggravated second degree battery.
According to Maringouin Police, the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries from the stab wound in his upper right chest area.
Officials say the stabbing occurred at Bobben’s Supermarket on Landry Dr. in Maringouin.
There was allegedly an argument and fight that led to the suspect pulling out a weapon and stabbing the victim in the chest.
The victim was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
