ABBEVILLE, La. (KLFY) – One of the suspects wanted in connection with the homicide of a Texas man who’s body was found in a truck in Abbeville has been taken into custody.

Kenton Crooms of Abbeville was arrested Tuesday and booked on the following charges:

  • Obstruction of Justice (2 counts)
  • Possession of Synthentic Marijuana
  • Possession of Stolen Things.

Lieutenant David Hardy tells News 10 that both obstruction charges and the possession of stolen things charge stem from the homicide investigation into the death of Eric Stansbury of Texas.

Officials are still searching for another suspect, Robert Crooms, Jr., who is wanted for narcotics and weapons charged issued by Abbeville Police.

Crooms, Jr. is still considered armed and dangerous.
