CROWLEY, La. (KLFY) – A man wanted in connection with a shooting in Crowley earlier this year is now back in Acadiana after being extradited from California.
Police Chief Jimmy Broussard said 37-year-old Ronald W. Babineaux, Jr. was arrested by authorities in Sacramento County, California on a warrant for attempted second-degree murder from the Crowley Police Department.
Babineaux is accused of shooting and injuring a man in the parking lot of the Crowley Walmart on May 28, 2016.
Crowley and Acadia Parish law enforcement officials traveled to California last week to take Babineaux into custody.
Babineaux was booked into the Acadia Parish jail. His bond has been set at a $400,000.
