Iberville Parish Sheriff’s deputies have arrested and booked a high school teacher accused of 37 counts of inappropriate behavior with students, according to a report by jail booking information.
The charges listed on the report against Keavin Keith include: 30 counts of sex between student and teacher, five counts carnal knowledge of a juvenile and two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
A former student reported a relationship with Keith to the Sheriff’s office on Monday. The student said when she was enrolled at the Mathematics, Science and Arts Academy in Plaquemine that she had a sexual relationship with her former teacher, a news release stated.
Further investigation uncovered two other female students who reported having sexual relationships with Keith, the release said.
