The two teens who jumped from a moving vehicle during a police chase that led to a crash that killed an 11-year-old inside in May have been indicted.
Jon’Torras Bryant and Kelvin Monte have been indicted for aggravated kidnapping of a child under the age of 13 and negligent homicide, according to St. Landry District Attorney Earl Taylor.
Back in May, the two teens picked up 11-year-old Bryla Bell in Lawtell, according to St. Landry Sheriff’s Deputies
The three were followed by Bell’s mother and later pursued by police.
Once the trio reached an Opelousas pharmacy, Byrant and Monte jumped from the moving truck with Bell still inside.
She then took control of the vehicle and lead law enforcement in a high-speed chase that ended with her death, according to Sheriff’s deputies.
