YOUNGSVILLE, La. (KLFY)— The city of Youngsville has rescinded the boil water advisory in following areas, authorities said.

The boil water advisory has been lifted for:


South of Chemin Metairie Parkway, East of Guillot Road and along Guillot Road, which also includes Sugar Ridge Subdivision, Chemet Park Subdivision, Crepe Myrtle, Ogden and Nezpique.

The City of Youngsville had issued a boil water advisory as a precautionary measure on 15th day August, 2016 after a water main break which supplies the above-identified location(s) which resulted in a loss of water pressure to area customers.

Laboratory testing on samples collected indicate no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals and LPWDN administrators to be resolved. Therefore, the water is safe for consumption
