MARTINVILLE, La. (KLFY)— A third arrest has been made in connection with last months shooting on Longfellow Street, authorities said.
30-year-old Kendrick “Monkey” Jones was found unresponsive in a truck on Oct. 19, at the corner of Buchanan and Resweber Streets, according to investigators. Witnesses at the scene said he was shot while sitting in his truck.
According to a news release, two had already been arrested in connection with the crime. Darries J. Ledet and Kedet were arrested and charged with second-degree murder on Nov. 2.
A spokesperson with the St. Martinville PD said further investigation indicated a third suspect was involved in the crime.
On Nov. 8 St. Martinville Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Troy Bourda, 24, of St. Martinville, according to a news release.
Police said Bourda was charged with second-degree murder. He already incarcerated in the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
