The Lafayette Economic Development Authority and its partners are hosting an opportunity for those seeking employment to find jobs in industrial trade.

More than 35 companies and organizations will fill the Cajundome Convention Center for an industrial trades career fair on Thursday.

Community partners from Lake Charles to Lafayette are working together to address workforce needs in south Louisiana following job reductions in the region.

Some of the positions that companies will be hiring for include: pipefitters, electricians, equipment operators, welders, etc.

The job fair is from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and open to the public.
