LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)- Lafayette police have charged three people for attempted first degree murder after a shooting outside a home on Wednesday.
Madison Dye, 17, Gracen Parchman, 19, and Jared Lewis, 19, were arrested after a drug transaction turned into a robbery attempt, which escalated to one man being shot.
One victim was shot and is in stable condition, according to the arrest report obtained by KLFY.

Police said Lewis drove to the alleged dealer’s home to purchase marijuana. Dye and Parchman were passengers in the vehicle. Another suspect who fired the weapon has not been identified.
While being questioned by detectives, Dye and Lewis “admitted that they knew the robber” and were therefore charged with attempted first degree murder, the arrest report said.

The case remains under investigation.
