The Louisiana State Trooper whose parked cruiser was struck along Interstate 10 last week by an impaired driver was treated and released from the hospital.
According to Master Trooper Brooks David, the unidentified trooper had parked his fully marked patrol car eastbound on Interstate 10 near Breaux Bridge and was sitting in the cruiser when it was struck by 45-year-old Duane McClendon of Morgan City, La.McClendon was booked into the St. Martin Parish Jail on charges including DWI, Reckless Operation of a Vehicle, and Vehicular Negligent Injuring.
