Two men were arrested in Jeff Davis Parish on Sunday for stealing scrap metal.

Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s deputies were alerted by an off duty Calcasieu Deputy that there were two males loading things into a truck from a property located on Hwy 3059 in Iowa.

When Jeff Davis patrol deputies arrived they were told by one of the individuals that he picked up scrap metal and had permission from the owner.  Deputies had already contacted the land owner and he advised no one had permission to be on the property or to take anything. 

28-year-old Quentin Elby Guillory of Lake Charles and 32-year-old Santanna Ranelle Durgan of Mamou were placed under arrest for theft. Durgan and Guillory were transported to the parish jail and booked with no bond.
