20-year-old Quentin Washington of Lafayette and 21-year-old Tyron Coates of Lafayette have been charged in connection with the death of 19-year-old Deamondre Arceneaux of Lafayette.

Arceneaux’s body was found, last October, in a ditch on Breaux Road in Carencro.

According to the Carencro Police Department, the arrest followed a lengthy investigation and both Washington and Coates have been charged with one count each of 2nd degree murder.

Chief David Anderson said Washington is incarcerated at Riverbend Correctional Center and Coates is incarcerated at Caldwell Correctional Center, both on other unrelated weapons charges.

Chief Anderson did not identify Arceneaux’s cause of death.
