GLENCOE, La. (KLFY)- Two people are dead after a morning shooting in the Glencoe area on Highway 83.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum said deputies received a 911 called about 10:14 this morning concerning shots fired.

Upon arrival, investigators found two bodies inside a residence, he said.

Responding deputies located 18-year-old Naiasalyn Brown and 17-year-old Tyrell Bolden, both deceased. As a result of the preliminary investigation the incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide.

“We are asking to keep the families in your prayers. They are going through a tough time right now,” said Anslum, who spoke to KLFY in the Glencoe neighborhood this afternoon. “We ask that you respect their privacy.”

Court records show that Bolden was arrested in Lafayette Parish on Feb. 24, 2018, on aggravated assault with a firearm and illegal carrying of weapons charges.
