Two men were stabbed during a fight in the New Iberia, Monday night, police said.

The incident, which occurred just after 8 pm, happened at the intersection of Ann Street and School Street.

Police say they responded to reports of a large crowd blocking the roadway, and on arrival learned that a 30 year old male victim had been stabbed and was transported to a local hospital by a civilian.  Deputies then discovered a second victim who had also been stabbed after an alleged altercation.  According to police, both victims had been stabbed in the upper torso and were treated for their injuries.

Police say the men sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the fight and were transported to local hospitals.
