MAMOU, La. (KLFY)-  Both Shannon James Ardoin and Regina Louisa Grant were located and freely surrendered themselves for questioning, the department said.

Both parties submitted written statements in reference to their knowledge of the death that occurred on Jake Lane on May 14.

Neither subject was charged and were immediately released after questioning.

ORIGINAL STORY: Authorities have identified the victim found dead on May 14 as 48-year-old Charles Reed.

Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for Shannon James Ardoin, 38, Regina Louisa Grant, 37, for questioning.

Charles was found dead in a ditch in the 1100 block of Jake Lane.

Detectives arrived on scene and began processing the area and questioning witnesses. At this time, a cause of death has not been determined and autopsy results are pending. One suspect was taken into custody, but his name has been withheld due to the current investigation status.
