LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)—Two victims at a carwash were robbed at gunpoint.
On May 19, 2016, at approximately 1 a.m. Lafayette Police tells KLFY that officers responded to an armed robbery in 3000 block of Moss Street.
According to officers, the two male victims say they were at a carwash when a female approached them requesting a dollar. Then they say just moments later two males walked up.
The victims told responding officers that one of the suspects was armed with a handgun, and another had a rifle. The suspects demanded the victims to lay on the ground.
According to the Lafayette PD, the suspects stole cell phones, an undisclosed amount of cash, and keys.
The suspects after robbing the victims fled the scene according to officials, in a blue older model Ford Taurus.
Lafayette Police describes the suspects as two young black males wearing gray or black hooded sweatshirts. The female suspect was said to have been wearing all black.
No injuries were reported during the robbery.
