UPDATE: Dandre Gabriel has turned himself into investigators with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, PIO Wendell Raborn said.  The 24-year-old suspect from Jeanerette has been charged with second degree murder and attempted second degree murder.

ORIGINAL STORY: Thaddeus Gabriel, 22, has been located and arrested on warrants, according to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.

He has been charged with principle to second degree murder and principal to attempted second degree murder.

Gabriel is connected a shooting during the Jeanerette Mardi Gras Parade on Sunday that left 22-year-old  Dante Archangel dead.

Gabriel reportedly came to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in reference to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office investigation and was subsequently arrested on the active warrant.

Gabriel booked St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

No bond as been set.

Authorities are searching for Kentrell Gabriel, 20, of Jeanerette, for principle to second degree murder and principal to attempted second degree murder.

Investigators believe the incident at the parade started as a physical confrontation between the victim and the suspects.
