LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)— Two victims who arranged to sell two cell phones were robbed at gunpoint.

On May 18, 2016, at approximately 11 p.m. Lafayette Police tell KLFY that officers responded to an armed robbery in the 800 block of N. Pierce Street.

According to responding officers, two male victims had arranged to meet with two individuals to sell two cell phones.

As the victims arrived at the parking lot they say they observed a black male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a white t-shirt over it who exited an older model Chevy Impala.

News 10 is told that the suspect then walked over to the victims’ car and sat in the rear seat, pulled out a handgun and demanded the cell phones.

The suspects fled south on N. Pierce street according to officials.

No injuries were reported during the robbery.
