UPDATE: A teenager in Lafayette was found and returned home safely Tuesday after going missing for most of the day, according to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.


YOUNGSVILLE, La. (KLFY) – Lafayette Parish sheriff’s deputies are looking for a runaway teenager who is believed to be endangered.

16-year-old Megan Danielle Richard has been missing from the Youngsville area since November 18, 2016.

Megan left her home without permission and has not returned.

Public Information Officer John Mowell said she is believed to be in the Acadiana area.

Megan is described as 5’1” tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes and weighing 120 lbs.
