ORIGINAL: A former St. Landry Parish Priest who pleaded guilty to molesting a juvenile is set to be sentenced later today.
Michael Guidry was a long time leader of St. Peter Church in Morrow.
Guidry was charged last June, and pleaded guilty this March.
He was accused of giving a 16-year-old boy alcohol and then sexually molesting him.
The report was made last year, but the abuse happened several years ago.
The Diocese of Lafayette placed Guidry on leave in 2018.
Diocese officials have said it is not paying his legal expenses.
