UPDATE: As of 4:45 p.m. the phone lines are back up and running at the Abbeville Police Dept. 

Abbeville Police Department’s phone lines are down as of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The official cause is unknown at this time.

Police are advising Abbeville residents with an emergency to call 911 directly.

KLFY will notify the public once the lines are back up.
