UPDATE: Breaux Bridge Police have identified the body found in a car Thursday night.

Chief Rollie Cantu tells News 10 that Miguel Edmond, 20, of Cecilia was found with apparent gunshot wounds in a vehicle in the 600 block of Tina Street around 10:00 p.m.

An official cause of death from the Coroner’s office is pending.

Chief Cantu says there are no suspects at this time, but police are investigating this incident as a homicide.

The investigation is ongoing.

BREAUX BRIDGE, La. (KLFY) – Breaux Bridge Police are investigating a body found in a car late Thursday night.

The body was reportedly found near the Oakdale Apartments on Tina Street, behind Winn-Dixie.

Witnesses say they believe the body had gunshot wounds.
