Wet weather conditions are prompting some officials and organizers to cancel weekend events. News 10 will update this list as new information is received:
Rayne’s Saturday Mardi Gras parade:
“Due to inclement weather conditions out of our control, a decision had been made to CANCEL the Rayne Mardi Gras Parade scheduled tomorrow at 3 p.m. as well as the gumbo cook off immediately following at pavilion. Have a safe and enjoyable Mardi Gras.”
Baldwin’s Saturday Mardi Gras parade:
“The decision came after a special meeting called by the town council. The issues for canceling centered around weather and security.”
Butte LaRose
The 10 a.m. Saturday parade has been canceled.
Cypremort Point
The parade is canceled.
