UPDATE: Both eastbound lanes of I-10 are open at this time.
All eastbound lanes of Interstate 10, in Crowley, are closed Sunday night after a pedestrian was hit by a car, according to police.
The Crowley Police Department responded to calls of a person struck in the area of milepost 79 around 7:20 p.m.
The victim remains unidentified.
Police say the victim, a white male, stepped into the lane of traffic from the access road of VFW Drive.
He was transported to a local hospital and then flown to a second hospital with injuries, according to police.
Traffic is being diverted at mile post 76, police said.
The east bound lane of I-10 will remain shut down as officers conduct their investigation, police said.
Vehicles are being diverted from the Estherwood exit onto Highway 90 for approximately the next hour or so.
