Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s deputies are investigating three different car burglaries in the Northeastern portion of Vermilion Parish that happened on April 24.
According to Sheriff Mike Couvillon, two unsecured vehicles at a home on Racca Rd. were burglarized.
A 9mm ruger handgun was taken.
Three other unsecured vehicles were rummaged through at a home off of LA 339.
Some cash and a socket set were taken from one of the vehicles, according to Couvillion.
A purse with money, a license and prescription medication was taken from another vehicle.
The purse was later recovered near Delcambre with the other items missing.
Couvillon says that the person responsible appears to be a black male with a light colored hoodie, light colored pants and light colored latex gloves that was dropped off by another individual in what appears to be a small car.
