UPDATE: Lafayette Police have confirmed that the victim in Sunday’s shooting at an apartment complex on Louisiana Avenue, has died. 

Police say 22-year-old Kendrick Flugence Jr. of Lafayette was found, just after 8 p.m., in the parking lot of the complex suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He died from his injuries at a local hospital, police said.

ORIGINAL: Lafayette Police are responding to a shots fired call at the Mon Chateau apartments on Louisiana Avenue. 

It happened in the 2800 block of Louisiana Avenue just after 8 p.m. and police are on scene investigating now, according to eyewitnesses. 

One person, a male, was located suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Lafayette police have confirmed. 

His condition is unknown at this time, police said.
