VILLLE, PLATTE, La. (KLFY)- On Thursday at approximately 7 p.m. officers, with the Ville Platte Police Department responded to an armed robbery at a store located on the 700 block of Main Street in Ville Platte. 

Upon arrival, officers learned that a black male wearing a black hoodie approached the register, pulled a gun and demanded that the cashier give him all of the money from the register. 

The suspect then repeated his demands for the money from the second register. After taking the money, he fled the scene on foot. 

Through the department’s investigation and surveillance footage, detectives identified the suspect as Johnathan Hakeem Williams, 28, of Opelousas, is wanted for the charge of armed robbery. 

Williams should be considered armed and dangerous.
