Volunteers of America, located at 224 St. Landry Street, Suite 2C in Lafayette, is asking for donations.
The organization provides support for those experiencing homelessness.
Currently they are asking for donations of many items including;
- underwear of all sizes for men and women
- water bottles, power bars, and snacks
- sleeping bags, coats, and scarves
- backpacks
- socks
- coats
Rae Gremillion, community Liaison, said, “We lack homeless shelters here. And homelessness isn’t just men, it’s children, it’s families. We go out and provide them with the support and resources needed.”
