ST. MARY PARISH, La. (KLFY)– Police arrest a woman wanted for attempted second-degree murder from a 2009 case involving a kidnapping.

Authorities with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office tells KLFY that Chantel Guillotte, 37 of Houma Louisiana was arrested at 1:18 p.m. on May 16, 2016.

Guillotte was arrested on a warrant for attempted second-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping, according to authorities.

The warrant stemmed from an investigation from 2009 when a deputy said he found an injured female walking on Highway 182 near Allain Road in the Baldwin area.

Working with the Youngsville Police Department officials say the detective assigned to the case collected evidence that three suspects who knew the victim forced the victim into a vehicle at a residence in Youngsville. Officials say the victim was struck repeatedly.

According to the detective working the case, the suspects then drove to St. Mary Parish, forced the victim out of the vehicle, and continued to hit victim before leaving her.

The victim was treated for a broken jaw and other injuries at a local hospital.

The three suspects in the crime, were Identified Chantel Guillotte, Lionel Pellerin, and Julie Menard.

Pellerin was arrested on a warrant for attempted second-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping in July of 2010.

News 10 is told by authorities that Guillotte turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin.

She was transported to the parish jail for booking and later transferred to the Morgan City Police Department jail. No bail was set.

An arrest warrant for Julie Menard on the charges of principal to attempt second-degree murder, principal to aggravated kidnapping and obstruction of justice still remains active.
