A woman was stabbed just after 6 p.m. Sunday at the McDonald’s Restaurant on Main Street in Franklin, La. police said.

The victim has been identified as Angela Abraham of Jeanerette. Police say she was ambushed and stabbed several times as she was walking out of the McDonald’s by her ex-boyfriend, Harold Verdin of Houma.

Police say Abraham had a protective against Verdin at the time of the dispute.  She is currently listed in critical condition at Franklin Foundation Hospital.

Harold Verdin remains at large at this time and was last seen leaving the area of McDonald’s in a truck, wearing a black hoodie. He is considered to be dangerous due to previous threats to kill himself and the victim.
