The 9th-annual Women in Agriculture Conference is expected to be held on March 21st – 22nd in Alexandria. The organization assists private land owners, farmers, forest land owners, and ranchers put conservation practices on their land. 

Stata Public Affairs Specialist, Amy Robertson says “If you look at the state of Louisiana, we have about 26,000 farms. And out of those…about 3,500 of those are owned and operated primarily by women. So women play a huge part of agriculture in the state of Louisiana.”
