Out of work for TWO DAYS following a weekend motorcycle crash that sent him to the hospital, Youngsville Police Chief Rickey Boudreaux was back in his office Wednesday as he began easing back into the daily grind.
The crash happened Sunday morning along the I-10 Frontage Road in Duson as Boudreaux was headed out to the Church Point Mardi Gras Parade.
He said the roads were slick and in a curve, he lost control of his department issued bike causing it to flip several times and coming to a rest in the grassy area.
Boudreaux suffered a fractured back and was taken to a local hospital and released.
He said doctors have recommended an outpatient surgery to repair the fracture.
‘You can’t keep Superman down.” Boudreaux told KLFY hours after the crash.
Assistant Chief Nick Latiolais was running the department in Boudreaux’s absence.
