RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) – Roger Boggs, the CEO of Revolution Aluminum (formerly American Specialty Alloys), who was supposed to bring a $1.5 billion aluminum plant to Pineville back in 2015, will have to wait longer for his arraignment on a charge of bank fraud in Rapides Parish.
Boggs was indicted on the bank fraud charge back in April. He was booked into the Rapides Parish jail in December 2017 on an Alexandria Police Department warrant. He posted $250,000 bond.
According to APD, a warrant was obtained in April 2017 based on a March 2017 report that he defrauded a local bank. Police have not released the name of the bank.
Boggs was in court on Friday, but when his name was called, his attorney, Alan Pesnell out of Shreveport, was not there. When the court ran his name, they discovered that Pesnell never enrolled in the system as his attorney.
The arraignment has been rescheduled for July 6.
