(Rapides Parish Sheriff Office)- On February 23, 2019, deputies responded to the 3000 block of North Bolton Avenue in reference to a suspicious person.

Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who told police the suspect, Jody Glynn Mullins, 43, of Alexandria, was at the residence on the previous day uninvited. The two engaged in conversation relating to a civil matter, during which Mullins allegedly identified himself as a R.P.S.O. Deputy.  At the time of the incident Mullins was armed with a firearm and a badge, which was not consistent with that of R.P.S.O. 

Mullins eventually left the residence without any further disruptions. On the day that the complaint was made, Mullins returned unannounced. Mullins was instructed to leave the home multiple times, but initially refused to comply. It was not until he learned of law enforcement’s involvement that Mullins left the residence. 

The initial report was taken and the case was turned over to Sheriff’s Detectives for further investigation. From their investigation, detectives were able to establish sufficient probable cause to obtain a warrant for Mullins’ arrest. 

On February 28^th, 2019, Mullins was located and arrested on the warrant and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.

Charged: Impersonating a peace officer. 

Mullins was later released on a $1,500.00 bond.
