LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY)-  At approximately 2 a.m. Friday morning, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a home at Bennie Lane in Lake Charles in regard to a man, David M. Pendley, 52, who had allegedly stabbed his son, 24.

 When deputies arrived, the son was at the neighbor’s house. He was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

Deputies made entry into the home and located the father and his wife, Katherine Pendley, 59, both dead.

The investigation is in the preliminary stages; however, at this point in the investigation detectives believe it is a possible murder-suicide where Pendley killed his wife then killed himself.

The son has been released from the hospital.
