KENNER, La. (WWLTV) — The man accused of killing a Taylor Friloux during an armed robbery at a Raising Cane’s restaurant will face the death penalty.

According to the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office, a grand jury returned an indictment for first-degree murder against Joshua Every and prosecutors will seek the death penalty.

“After meeting with Ms. Friloux’s family and consulting with my staff, I have decided my office will seek the death penalty,” Paul Connick, Jefferson Parish DA said in a statement released Thursday afternoon.

Every is accused of killed Taylor Friloux, a manager at a Raising Cane’s restaurant in Kenner, while he and three other suspects were allegedly robbing the store. Every allegedly stabbed Friloux several times during the robbery, killing her.

Every has been charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon, witness intimidation and obstruction of justice.

Gregory Donald, Jr., 19, of Kenner, has been charged with second-degree murder of Ms. Friloux, two counts of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon, witness intimidation and obstruction of justice.

Mark Crocklen, Jr., 25, of LaPlace, has been charged with second-degree murder of Ms. Friloux, two counts of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon, witness intimidation and obstruction of justice.

Ariana Runner, 22, of Reserve, has been charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and obstruction of justice.
