BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) – Home Depot stores in Baton Rouge are taking on additional staff to deal with the demand for supplies following historic flooding.

The hiring event will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25 and Friday, Aug. 26 at the Baton Rouge Marriott. They are hiring about 240 new people, which will be roughly 40 positions at six stores. They include locations in three stores in Baton Rouge, one in Zachary, one in Gonzales, and one in Denham Springs.

The positions include part-time cashier, sales and freight positions. Candidates are encouraged to apply online prior to attending the hiring events, but walk-ins are welcome.
