BATON ROUGE (WGNO) – The Louisiana House has voted to give K-12 schools and colleges protection against civil lawsuits from students or teachers who contract diseases such as COVID-19.
Representative Buddy Mincey is sponsoring the measure, and he says the limitation is critical to allow in-person schooling this fall.
But opponents say the protection could put students and teachers at risk for exposure.
