MONROE, La. (AP) – Authorities say a man accused of dragging a woman out of her car on a Louisiana highway has been arrested.
News outlets cite arrest reports as saying two witnesses saw him on Sunday pulling what they thought was a lifeless body out of a car and put it in his car.
Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s deputies say they found the woman and 36-year-old Ervin Robinson after identifying the owner of the car and going to their home.
Investigators say she told them that he had blocked the road with his car as she was driving to Monroe and forced her to pull over. She suffered scrapes on her knees and elbows.
Robinson was booked on second-degree kidnapping and battery of a dating partner. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer who could comment.
