A Washington Parish man has been arrested 16 times.
Whitney Landon McNeese, 35, was taken into custody for two counts of burglary. The arrest of McNeese by the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office was the result of an ongoing investigation into several burglaries committed in the Thomas community. Authorties say security cameras at one of the victims homes led them to McNeese.
McNeese’s history with the Washington Parish Jail began in October 2007 and continued with his 16th arrest on May 3. Previous arrests for McNeese were for various charges, including theft, distribution of illegal drugs, burglary, criminal damage, resisting an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs, possession of stolen property, criminal conspiracy, unauthorized use of a credit card, assault, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, obstruction of justice, criminal damage to property, fraudulent acquisition of a credit card and failure to appear in court.
Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal commented. “While reviewing McNeese’s arrest history over the last eleven and a half years, I can only assume he is a career criminal. I am so pleased with the foresight of the homeowner to install security cameras and with the hard work of our detectives to identify and arrest McNeese.
