BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Officials with LSU said that students who are on a study abroad trip in France have been accounted for after a terror attack in Nice killed 80 people.
Officials said they have about 45 law students who are studying abroad in Lyon, but a few of them went to Nice and were in the city at the time of the attack. They added that the students were safe in their hotel and no other students were specifically studying in Nice.
The university is checking on other study abroad students as well.
A truck full of arms, bombs and grenades killed 80 and injured many more when it mowed down a crowd of people celebrating Bastille Day in Nice.
