A 56-year-old man has been extradited from Mississippi to Louisiana on charges of making child pornography and sexual battery of children.
Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood says Rudolph Lurding was arrested Friday in Southaven, a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee. WREG-TV reports Lurding moved to Southaven weeks ago with his girlfriend and a young girl.
Lurding was extradited to Louisiana, where he’s jailed on $250,000 bail in Hammond after a court appearance. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer. Lurding faces three felony counts of production of pornography involving a juvenile under the age of 13 and three felony counts of sexual battery under the age of 13. The charges carry up to 372 years in prison
Hood says the minor was taken into the custody of Mississippi Child Protection Services.
