LAPLACE, La. (WWLTV) — A small plane was forced to land on Interstate 10 Monday morning.
According to State Police and the St. John the Baptist Sheriff’s Office, a small plane landed on the highway at milepost 197 — just west of the Belle Terre exit, near the St. James Parish line.
The pilot was the lone occupant of the plane, and had just taken off from airport in Reserve. The aircraft was forced to land on the neutral ground.
Pilot was not injured, and state police and sherrif’s deputies responded.
