BATON ROUGE, La. — No one was hurt after a small plane landed along Interstate 10 near Baton Rouge Wednesday morning.

Louisiana State Police say the landing happened around 10 a.m. along I-10 east near the East Baton Rouge and Ascension parishes line. WBRZ-TV reports that the plane rolled into a ditch near a wooded area off of the roadway.

Troopers say only one person was onboard the fixed wing single-engine plane at the time of the crash. Only minor injuries were reported.

According to Airnav.com, the plane took off from Baton Rouge Metropolitan Aiport around 9:45 a.m. and crash landed about 8 minutes later. 

Crews closed the left lanes on I-10 East as first responders arrived at the scene.
