(WVLA) – Entergy needs to repair a substation that supplies Southern University’s Baton Rouge campuses so they will be closed for the next two days.
According to Southern University, “a permanent repair will be made to the switchgear that caused the outage earlier this month.”
That means that all BR campuses will be closed on July 3 and July 4.
The Southern University campuses that are closed due to the needed repairs “include Southern University Baton Rouge, Southern University Law Center and Southern University Ag Center.”
The Southern University Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Shreveport campuses will be closed on July 4 for Independence Day and reopen on July 5.
