Firefighters in Livingston Parish are investigating a house fire that claimed the lives of two dogs Monday morning.
According to Livingston Parish Fire Protection Districts 2 and 9, the fire broke out in a trailer on Killian Oaks Drive in Killian, La.
Officials say the homeowner was burned while trying to rescue two dogs that ultimately were lost in the fire.
